Hunger Games 3: Mockingjay…The Ending We Deserve?

Hunger Games 3: MockingjaySo, finally I’m done with the last book of the Hunger Games trilogy. I’ve read all Hunger Games books within the past 12 days and I really liked them, I did.

But unfortunately, I don’t agree with a lot of critics about the sequels getting better and better. I think the first book was by far the most surprising and best.

It’s not in general that the sequels are not good, they truly are. The Hunger Games 2: Catching Fire was still quite interesting with the Hunger Games still being played and all the twist and it has a somewhat rise and fall feel to it. But Hunger Games 3: Mockingjay didn’t really catch me at all. I mean there were a lot, and I mean a lot, of twists within Mockingjay and they were truly good. But for some reason the book never really took off.

It was always a little bit of ebb and flow, but no real flood. I could have lived with Hunger Games 3 in general if the ending wasn’t so abrupt and pointless. I’m just saying, I’ve read about 320 pages with lots of twists and turns and in definitely some interesting angles, and I expect a really EPIC FINALE. But it never comes…and suddenly I was reading the epilogue and I was done.

That was a little disappointing, but i would still recommend the Hunger Games trilogy to my friends and fans, because it has a really nice hook with the Games and all, plus I like the writing style a lot.

I would love to hear what you thought about the Hunger Games trilogy, did you read all of them already too? Which one did you like the most?
